  1. I have a system for the Cores that we gain

I look at the people who give a lot of items outside the raid and the people who have the best attendance inside the core.

I do not 'funnel' cores to my 'pets' behind the scenes.

Hell a good chunk of Cores that I have used came from farming my assoff alliance side to buy them cheaply.

Aww, so I don't get my leggings? *pout*

You know I am gonna tease you about those silly things forever... even when we are farming BWL! Just cause I am a prick that way ;)

And I have heard about your "pets" Maube... I dunno if I could be one... you are waaaaaayyy too demanding! >:L

  2. So why dont we set a tenative date of the first Wednesday in September? A month off might do us all a LOT of good?

A month!?!?!?! SKAH! I'll never get my Prophecy hat :p

But wait, I could go back Shadow and melt faces for a whole month!

    :p

A month might be too long (dont want to lose our favorite folks to other runs!) so input is greatly appreciated =)

Well, as long as I can get into some Raids just to keep on my toes. Plus, it would suck Uglutz toes if we came back after a month and were just uber rusty and sloppy. But at least 2 weeks, or more but maybe have a couple NDKP runs to kill trash for cores and bracers and such every once in a while, just to keep people sharp, plus you would only need smaller groups.

    Just a thought.

  3. Woot! Now I can finally catch up on all those places I have missed!

UBRS till my eyes bleed baby! Err, or until I get all my Ony stuff and a Pristine Hide of the Beast.

Strat and Scholo till my eyes bleed! Or until I get exhalted with AD and have enough marks to get some of those cool rewards... the damage/healing necklace makes me drool.

I may even get to see some of DM!

I can definitely see how burn out could be occuring... if not just on this MC raid, but the fact that some people are raiding 5 or 6 days a week... that is like a job! :p

  4. OK, OK, so they plan to force bubble ######es on us... gotta justify giving the Alliance shammies I guess...

BUT FOR ######'S SAKE, NOT GORRAM BLOOD ELVES!

Lore would support a "Anti-Paladin" or "Death Knight" concept a hell of a lot more than the rediculously selfish Blood Elves "discovering the light" and being Pallies. Should be undead... like that friggin Lich King fella.

  5. Any healers interested, I can now do the +55 Healing Enchant to weapons.

Give me a shout if you need it done.

    Requires:

    4 Large Brilliant Shards

    8 Greater Eternal Essence

    6 Living Essence

    6 Essence of Water

    1 Righteous Orb

    ~Fomor

  6. Items

    - +30 Spell Damage Enchantment: Fixed a bug with this enchantment

which was preventing it from benefiting healing spells.

Did i ready that right does that mean +30 will now be fore healing and damage?

That just made that enchant worlds better for those that do both damage and heal.

  7. See, we all have different likes and dislikes about talents. I personally like the direct effect ones... some like the others. All good.

I went with the build I mentioned(except it was 2 points in the holy damage increase, not 2 in the holy damage range increase) I have a ton of mana and faster, cheaper spells...works nice.

  8. Maube: Absolutely spirit is mucho importante with this build, and Raid buffed I run over 300 spirit, so that is +75(or more) healing.

Jero: Inspiration is nice, but 25% more armor is almost useless when most mobs in end game situations are doing some form of spell/elemental damage. Also, Silent Resolve is virtually useless as it seems to suffer diminishing returns. I have never had a build using it(before this one) and the simple fact is a healer will always pull anything that hasn't been hit yet simply because you are the only one with hate built up... if you heal anyone in a battle, the hate is applied to every mob. Now taking Inner Focus is, to me, essential because it a)let's you buff faster and b)gives you a mana free heal with a 25% chance of criting every 3 minutes. Also, Improved PW:S with the mana reduction of Mental Agility is basically a 1300 point instant heal for a reasonable cost. Now, I never took Spirit of Redemption before, but the ability to cast up to 3 free heals after you die can be critical in a boss or even an overpull situation... assume it is on a boss fight and you are healing the MT, you die but can then cast 3 back to back greater heals, or in a group fight, you die and can cast 3 back to back prayers of healing, can make a huge difference.

Keep the comments coming folks, if you have a skill you swear by that I overlooked, let me know about it.

  9. Well, after careful consideration and some discussion with others, I have decided it is in the best interest of the continued and future success of the Raid group(the one I am currently in, and the ones I hope to be in if I ever get keyed for Ony :p) to have a few priests who are really dedicated to being full on healer/mana batteries. As such, I plan to be one of those few :p I love being a Shadow priest, but I love beating content and getting epic gear more than clompin' people in PvP. That said, this is the build I am going to use. I welcome any comments, criticism or suggestions.

In my opinion, this gives me the best healing functionality while allowing for a bigger mana pool, better buffs and cheaper instant cast spells (renew, dispell, shields, buffs etc.) with a greater chance for crit heals, cheaper heals and longer ranged heals.

    Whats do lats think?

  10. I am a relative Newb, but I will do it if no one steps up for it. Only thing is I was a RL grunt in the Army for 10 years and I will be blunt and direct and expect a certain level of attention to detail. Healers have the most attention intensive requirement aside from the raid leader and whoever does the job needs to make sure everyone is on the ball.

    More to follow regardless.

  11. Alrighty Guys I really hate to do this, but I need to limit the amount of shadow priests in the Core.

If you dont get bumped into the Raid one week, I will try to cycle you in and out.

I am not here to tell you how to play your classes, however 4 shadow priests is draining on the priest or priests that come with improved Fort and Spirit.

What about the Shadowpriest that has Improved Fort?

And the holy priest that doesn't have Prayer of Spirit?

Just curious because while I know buffing is a ######(I just respecced and was regularly casting both fort and spirit on half of the raid groups), the ability to keep people alive is the more important issue and tonight we had far less casualties than normal. That was with 3 shadow priests doing healing (Betel had comp issues or it would have been 4). Now with Inner Focus, I could put Imp Fort on the entire raid in about 3 minutes and I am not seeing where that is a burden. We had less priests tonight than we have had in weeks and we still got it done. I don't want to start yet another "this or that" debate, but blaming buffing abilities of Shadowpriests is like limiting Druids to those who only have improved Mark of the Wild. If there is some other issue though, please be forthright about it.

Yes this issue has me on the defensive because I did just switch back to Shadow from a Disc/Holy build, but things like this always irk me because we don't say "we have too many dagger rogues... or too many destruction warlocks". If we, the shadow specced priests, are not doing our jobs (healing/dispelling) then yeah, I see a problem, but if it because of buffs, well, a priest is the only class that can cast up to 3 group buffs and one of those requires a certain talent path... well, alienating members of a particular class from a raid on account of the fact that they want to be able to be effective outside of the raid as well as in (like every other class) just bothers me.

    /rant off

  12. Well, I was gonna make a nice long sentimental "Why I love the Skullcrushers" post elsewhere, but many of the reasons that I would list have been touched on in this thread and I think this is the place for this reply then.

First, I have been playing MMOs since '99 when Asheron's Call was released... thought I would hate it because I have been playing Table Top RPGs for about 16 years at the time. I was wrong, I got hooked, played AC then Anarchy Online, then back to AC then STar Wars Galaxies and now finally WoW. I enjoyed every one of those games and each time found myself in a group of predominantly RPers and like minded individuals... it was great fun, but, in most cases RP=limited or no End Game. I accepted that and just enjoyed playing the game the way I wanted and accepted that I wasn't going to get to do all the cool stuff or have the "phat lewt" c'est la vie.

Then I grew bored with my alliance druid and all the drama llama antics and out of boredom made this undead priest named after the wyrm tainted minions in Werewolf the Apocalypse, soon after my lovely lady friend made an undead warrior named after the pack of the wild hunt. We started exploring life on the Horde side and steadily grew to like the atmosphere and general maturity over here and gradually our little side characters grew to be our mains. Then one fateful day back in April, I made a post on the guild recruitment forums looking for a Horde RP guild on AD. The nest day I had an email from a fellow telling me to talk to Maube. It was the best decision of my WoW "life" thus far. My lovely lady and myself found ourselves in a clan full of folks that were creative, interesting, funny, witty, goofy, engaging, mature without being stodgy, and most of all open and helpful. After a week I knew I had found what I was looking for, and in fact it completely reenergized my MMO drive. I kind of figured that I had once again found myself in that fun RP guild that, while I won't see the "end-game" I will definitely have fun. I was wrong. I hit level 60 and a few days later I was healing in the Core... on a main tank in some fights as well. Here I was in a fun, RP guild, running through the very content I never thought to see. I was amazed... still am really.

Then something else amazed me... fantastic loot was dropping, and people were all getting turns to get stuff... even newbie me. I was ecstatic. After hearing all of the horror stories about how people ran raids, I was floored... we had how many tanks? Feral druids? Shadow Priests??? And more importantly, we had fun. I know that running this raid is a lot of work for Maube and Verissi and the assorted class leaders, and I think we should all realize that and make it easier for them by not complaining and griping over stuff (especially when it will drop again), and by remembering that it is about having FUN.

And that is what I will do anyway. In my little eccentric online family full of creative, interesting, funny, witty, goofy, engaging, mature without being stodgy, and most of all open and helpful people. All having fun.
