  1. Okay raiders, it's time to step up and help out. We're running low on fish for feasts again. We're using 20-30 fish feasts a week and it takes 2 of each kind of fish for each feast. If each of you that eat the fish will send me a stack of one of the three each week, I'll fill in the gaps. It would be nice if Eigun and I weren't doing most of the fishing.

    We need:

musselback sculpin from the Borean Tundra

    nettlefish from Sholazar Basin

    salmon from the Grizzly Hills

  2. Okay, for healers that have questioned what I'm doing with the healing rotation, I've made a spreadsheet that you can track. If you decline, it'll count toward a day of sitting out, but you won't get dkp for that night. Everyone gets a chance to volunteer each raid day.

When you know you need to sit on a certain day, you could do me a favor and step up. *smiles* Otherwise, I will mercilessly use the roster.

If you want to put this on your first page, Zu, I'll keep it updated after every raid.

  3. In case you hadn't noticed, Sunday is Valentine's Day. As much as I like you all, I'm not passing up a chance for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants.

I'll be there Wednesday, but I'm off to be treated come Sunday.

  4. Red Rock Canyon is just a short drive outside the city to the west. There are short hikes, Indian petroglyphs, and lots of desert landscape to see. Rumor has it that wild horses and burros roam there, but I've not seen one in 12 years.

If you want to make a day of it, there's always Death Valley or The Valley of Fire.

Natobah's friend might be able to get you a really good rate on a group of rooms, but check the travel web sites. There are all kinds of packages with good prices for airline flights/rooms booked together.

  5. Hi Everyone,

    The 3.3 patch is in!

All DKP has been reset (i.e. erased) and the new rules take effect starting today.

I'll be doing the gear audit later this week so please be pro-active and start switching those rare gems to epic gems if you have any.

I'd also appreciate if folks could start looking at ICC loot to try and determine what pieces they'd like.

*blinks* The instances haven't even opened yet and there are loot tables?

  6. Sounds good to me, Zu, although dkp and loot is secondary to me when raiding. You'll just have to tell me if I bid on something when my dkp is 0. :)

I assume that the raid priorities are based on where the best loot falls. It's a shame that raids have lost the idea of the thrill of doing something for the challenge of it, like Ulduar hard modes, instead of not wanting to tackle anything that doesn't have better loot for them.

  7. Kalea sits down next to Kailand at the fire, smiling at the delight in his eyes as the scrunchies burn. He nods hello and turns as a soft padding is heard behind them. Out of the dark comes a large ghost wolf that lies down next to the Tauren.

Your story of Enraptor reminds of the days when I discovered Moonrunner here. She absently leans back and scratches the wolf between the ears.

My mother always told me that the spirits would send me a guide to teach and protect me. As a young Tuaren in Mulgore, we are all tested. One of the tests is to follow a spirit wolf to an Elder. I was very young when this happened to me. As soon as we reached the Elder, the spirit wolf disappeared, but I heard a voice in my mind say "We will meet again, young shaman". For weeks I felt the wolf around me, but each time I turned to find it, I saw only a sparkle in the air that could have been the sunlight.

My favorite time in each cycle has always been the rising of the moon. From early in my life, I sat on the banks of Stonebull Lake at night, watching the moon rise and listening to the sounds of the creatures of the plain settling in for the night. Once I could turn into a ghost wolf, I would run in the moonlight, smelling the creatures in the wind and hiding in the shadows. Every night I searched for he wolf, but could only catch the faintest hint of her in the air.

One night as I sat by the lake, I was startled by the large ghost wolf that softly padded up to my side. In my mind I heard her speak: "I have been sent to teach and protect you, young one. You're disturbing the pack with your bolting about and howling. Come, learn the ways of the wolves. My name is Moonrunner and I will be your companion until the day of your death."

From that day to this, Moonrunner is always by my side, even if she is seen only by me. I've been prodded and nipped and howled at a lot as I learned. Even now she's a sarcastic voice in my head when I'm doing something she questions. I fear I'm not a very good wolf, by her standards, but I spend time each night listening to her lessons.

The wolf raises it's head, nips at the Tauren's tail and pads softly off into the night.

  8. Barring another flood, I will be there Tuesday night. I don't think Tain's computer parts will get here in time for him for Tuesday though.

    Fantastic!

On another note, Zuworty, November 26 is the American Thanksgiving Holiday. A lot of us will be spending the day with family and friends. For those of you with plans, please decline on the calendar so that Zu has a real idea how many people won't be around.
