Ultima Online planned to merge with Anarchy Online! -{Melissa}

Following the immensely successful launch of {UO: Lord Blackthorn's Revenge}, Norwegian software company {Funcom}, the developer and publisher of highly popular sci-fi MMORPG {Anarchy Online} and EA/Origin have announced a joint effort to combine the worlds of Ultima Online and Anarchy Online.

Sharp-eyed players might have already noticed the obvious similarities between some of the new UO:LBR (especially the Juggernaut and other cyborg monstrosities) and AO models. And indeed, these were added as sort of a test to see how the UO players would react to technological additions to the fantasy world of Britannia. According to our inside source at Origin (who wishes to remain anonymous at this time), despite the fact that some prominent members of the UO player community have protested to the "hi-tech" theme, most of the feedback has been extremely positive.

"The existing accounts of both UO and AO players won't require any special changes but will in fact be fully compatible with the new game world. The details of the merging haven't been completely planned yet, but at the moment the most likely solution will be to add new map files to both games, so that UO players will be able to enter Rubi-Ka with their client and vice versa. The required patches will probably be downloadable for people with broadband connections, but there will also be an expansion pack that will be available at retail stores. Just imagine the possibilities of this project! Ever wanted to blast orcs with a laser rifle or show those filthy Clan Rebels how a Flamestrike whoops just about anyone? Soon you can!", says our anonymous Origin representative.

I have no worries following Ironside into battle..he is one of the bravest Knights I know.  ...as for Blackthorne..I wouldn't mind seeing what he has in that castle.  Soemething tells me he hasnt given up!  All the Guardians of Honor should be vigilint in this!

I would not expect PGoH to enter into any war without ROE established..especially considering there are non combatants in the Empire..I was more interested in a few set battles..now the Juka campaugn is at an end..or is it?  The troops still need activity..If not the Fire Knights of hell who else could we possibly have a few battles with?  What rp groups are still in force out there?  besides the shadowclan...

Borg will be out of town I believe.

From my findings the violets look better than that of the normal dye tub. The special dye tub colors look more 'real' and have more contrast. They also look better on dyed/ore color armor. Just my two cents.

btw, violet 6 is the current color on the vendor at the castle.

First step is finding a Plague Beast Lord (PBL).

Locations so far...NW Forests of Cove..up to the mountains and down to the shore..be carefull many regular plague beasts and bog things.  Fire Isle.  And sometimes in the penninsula regions around minoc..Also the forest below the Yew Orc forte and near the NPC Red Fort has turned up a few as well.

THIS IS BEST DONE WITH 2 PEOPLE, ONE CUTTING, THE OTHER HEALING!!

Surgery...First Paralyze the PBL when encountered..I have found that once paralyzed it seems the timer starts, so do not paralyze untill ready..or if you had to paralyze it..such as more than one at a time..be sure to wait and let spell wear off and recast before beginning surgery..After paralyzed use a knife to open corpse..Than a gump of the PBL's innards should come up on yer screen.  The innards come in different types the main ones are..solid rocks..multiple looking rocks with diff colored veins attached..Iron maidens..and always on the left side a purple square looking thing that contains the desieased gland.

To open a solid rock use scissors on it after a second or two it will open in its center either revealing a brain..or nothing..if nothing blood will begin to well from the opening ...Bandages must be applied to the blood before it grows to big.  As for the multiple rocks with veins, you must cut each vein however do not cut the vein that matches the multiple rock thingies color. This will cause it to open either revealing one of the four colored brains or a blood welling spot.  The Iron maidens when opened by double clicking on them will reveal a brain or empty..if empty there will be no blood welling forth on this one.  In the center is a roundish object with for suction cups of four different colors on each side.  These cups will match the colors of the brains you find.  When you find a brain in one of the previously mentioned organs and remove it..blood will begin welling from the place it was removed and must be bandaged immediatly.  Once all 4 brains are in thier proper cups the center will open revealing the light blue mutation core.."looks like a brain"  Use yer scissors on this mutation core and it will appear in your backpacK!! Sucess.

NOTE:  Some PBL do not have 4 brains only 3 ...The purple organ as mentioned earlier on the left side has the diseased gland..it can be replaced with a healthy gland, revealing the 4th brain..However as healthy glands are rare unfortunatly this may mean you loose the Core on these 3 brained ones.

REMEMBER YOU ARE ON A TIME LIMIT

Once the cores have been extracted they need to be placed in the swirling mass of the plague trees..we believe around 20 cores is needed per tree.  One is cure but 4 still remain!!!! To place a core or one of the other 3 ingredients in a tree..double click on the swirling mass and a targeter will appear than click on the desired cure item to place inside

Well I have only been with the guild a few weeks and allready CHANGE!!   Well the new color isnt to bad..a bit drab..the squires do seem hapier over thier miniskirts not being so bright.  However I am a bright guy,  maybe we could brighten it up a little?  Well *ahem* my official statement as to the new colors is as follows....

OOC you may wish to OPEN JOURNAL to help you keep up on my speach.  For the new members......I must admit I do have a tendancy to ....how shall I say this...  I am very conscise and detailed. I found most would rather hear much than little word from OLYMPUS or from the GODS so.....through me I will be talkative so to speak. Now then.....surely more will arrive and Magistrate Balandar could you be so kind to empower the stones magically to record this session? Now then.....I shall begin

This time and place has been selected by the citizens of the Empire as the regular meeting for the Empire. I will inform those in attendance on matters of State this eveining in what we call.....the STATE of The EMPIRE. I will do such....4 times a year weekly we will discuss current affairs or needs of attention. the NEWS section of the Empire boards will also keep records of matters to be aware of and like tonight will inform you of events that will or may occur AFTER the meeting. now then....the largest and newest information ....is most likely known by you all but It is my great HONOR to declare it and announce it to you in person.

The office of Decurion has a new leader he is Sir Rand ....once of Camelot now of the Honor Empire. Sir Rand....would ye stand brother. Sir Rand has consistently proven himself as a great leader against Lord Blackthorn and our Legionnaires and Squires will benefit from his teaching this already has sounded an alarm in the ears of the JUKA for many of them have felt the heavy horse of his columns now they will feel the heavy might of Sir Rands men for ages to come. Now....for the more serious matters.......the Empire is in a state of WAR.  War with Lord Blackthorn, his Juka, Savages and Mechanics. The reports currently have the city of Papau as LOST the city of Minoc nearly destroyed with the Guardians of Light leading the defense of our mining interests and the mines keeping Lord Blackthorn from those most important Ore deposits. The city area of Yew is now not recognizable to these old eyes but still is not lost and Dawn leads the fight there. Senator Prometheus has continued to experiment on the seeds we now find and he reports that from the Meer are word of new powerful reagents and potions will ...if all experiments succeed be found .....Dr Codene has some information on this and he is meeting with Dawn and Calinin as we speak.

Trinsic our mother city......still is besieged with city street fighting but we still hold upper control..... Overall the War is at best a stalemate and your efforts as well as those not in attendance is greatly appreciated and needed. Trinsic must be maintained.....while an ear to support Minioc and Yew must be vigilant. The Legion numbers are growing steadily and now with the prowess of Sir Rand this will be more easily and efficiently gained. I can hear Martok already thinking.....a question......here is your answer Brother. there are 65 individual families within the Empire with 5 others on an abroad vacation. this includes Legionnaire and Squire families. The Current state of the Legion strenght is average. the Navy creation has yet to materialize. this is NOT a danger...and it is something to keep all of our eyes and ears open about. While the navy is not needed EXACTLY now it will be when the Herans will be asked to tame the Ilshenar beasts of the sea. Seahorses for those that wonder what I meant.

Lord Blackthorn now only deals with land occupation and the Senate has been supplimenting the losses of realm resources well the stockpiles of the Empire are still strong....but dwindling. Currently the stockpiles are reported in the state as follows. Lumber is at 269000 boards. Ingots are at 381000. Leather is at 119000 yards. those are the three resources we are supplimenting realm merchants requests for Yew can nolonger send Lumber, Minoc can no longer supply Ingots, and Papau can no longer supply Leather. The Liquidation efforts of the Treasurey to assist in this and the consilidation of Capital structures has done well.

The Poseidon Tower was destroyed in the last year by the Doom Daemons of Paradox but the Trades Tower and Arcane Academy stand firm still The Port Authority Villa, Infirmary cabin Decurion Office, War Room Tower and Olympus all stand here strongly secured for eternity by the EMpire forever will this be your home and yes.....the ancient Hall of HONOR still stands in Felucca beside the Honor Shrine.

for those of you wondering .....why do we all wear smith aprons? it is that long ago....we founders all mined stone from under the shrine myself, Sir Lags, Yukon Bob, and with the aid of Balandar we magically formed the Honor Stone. Rattlehead was our first smith but we were all miners and smiths in those days well....cept Balandar. heheh. he floated around us, ask him someday in leisure of our adventures back then perhaps at the Chaos shrine, heheh, were us brawny smith miners full of ourselves decided to take care of a single murderous brigand ....heheheh. Colin Mor resides in the villa and for those of you who have a merchant in your family he is looking for merchants and will inform the Empire on the forum. That Villa....WILL BECOME the first bank outside of a city. Safe Haven already is the realms sanctuary outside of any city. Dawn has taken up residence there in the suite if ye have not travelled there yet....one should do so and have a rune marked for it will come to be a place of gathering by Dawn in the weeks to come. Lord Dupre' it is my hope will accept our second offer and utilize Olympus and its study as his planning room. I have yet to receive word from him.

The State division of the Empire also reports the ascension of 3 new Emissaries Galanor of Illyceum, Mysty of Dalmatia, and Thoirk of Nicomedia. these strong individuals .......yes stand Thiork, these individuals will represent the Empire in matters of diplomacy. Thiork here though may need some boots for that Nicomedia province surly is mucky. hehheh. Yew is lucky to have you Emissary *pats shoulder*

These Emissaries are conducting meetings with the realm guilds that exist inside those provinces as well as keeping a tab on activity we may not see so clearly. From these Emissaries may rise great Governors at this point Governess Briannna of the family Valshea leads the State division. Nnow.....I will sepak of the more entertaining and less worldly issues.

the programs from Olympus Recruitment Rewards....has begun and Sir Rand, SerBrightblade, Thiork, Galanor all have been registered for this program for thier support of the Empire recruitment. The Empire rewards one member every Quarter with a commission that will then releive him/her of the burdon of taxation. taxation that does NOT come from the Empire but does come from the GODS on the soul itslef of members. OOC GAMETIME costs for 3 montsh time the reward is paid to the member in good standing that supports recruitment and keeps Sir Rand busy. hehehe. aye Sir Rand?

The other excitment is not known to anyone and tonight I will touch of its basics. Olympus has provided me great sculptures of the evil we face now, Lord Blackthorn, Juggernaught, Randorr the Dragon, as well as the Meer Dasha and Watcher, as welll as the Juka Leader. these statues Olympus will reward to the person who succeeds in contests of wits. OOC Statues are the UO TOYS by McFarlan. I will be announcing events for the Realm AND for members only whomever succeeds in these tests and challenges will be sent a statue of thier choice these events and those yet declared in future are to enhance the lives of members, realm inside our world and in our dreamworlds as well. I have spoken with Borg and we are going to try a new purple (the other one is too bright for some peoples likings). We are looking at the deepest violet on the special dye tubs. I'll most likely place a vendor at the castle so people can buy what they need for clothing. I'll add a reply here in later to show the difference between the two purples I am talking about.

Anyone know if young people can use the special dye tub? Those with accounts under 12 months?
