A post on the official Shadowbane message boards provided the initial confirmation that Shadowbane's game servers suffered a security attack and that Ubi Soft took the servers offline to restore the service. Ubi Soft has told us that a group of players found a way to teleport NPC characters and moved them into cities. In various community forums, players have recounted their experience of the events, in which many characters were killed. Ubi Soft says that it is working with law enforcement to prosecute those responsible. Normal service on the Shadowbane servers was restored after roughly an hour. According to SB: Shadowbane Service Emergency Update The Shadowbane service came under serious attack tonight. Wolfpack Studios and ubi.com have been called in and we will be investigating these incidents all through the night tonight. Ubi Soft and Wolfpack Studios are now working with law enforcement and we promise all of you that these individuals will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. As a precautionary measure, all the game servers will be brought down during the next 30 minutes for some emergency maintenance. We will be bringing worlds back online one at a time, so we expect this entire process to last a minimum of two to six hours.
