Even though I already reset my password to their new standard, apparently you have to use the link they give you in the email and not through the standard password reset backend. To reset your password, follow these steps: • Go to https://account.swtor.com/user/password/recover and enter your account login email address • An email will then be generated to your inbox with a secure link inside • Click on the link and follow the instructions in order to create a new password. Huato Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 I had to do that tonight to get logged into their website. It's kind of a hassle, but I'm glad they are doing it at the same time. Hopefully it will help alleviate hacking and get people in the habit of changing their passwords. And I'm hoping for authenticator apps soon since they have the field in the launcher.
