Yep, noticed my mark idea was a bust.

Possibly we could get some scribes to crank out some teleport scrolls when they have the spare time. That might help the non mage types get to the higher spots.

I understand how you feel Linda. It was my third champ spawn and the first one I have been at from beginning to end. Showed up at the end of the first one and left halfway through the second one.

Don't feel bad. All 3 of them seemed to be organized chaos, or disorganized chaos, or something like that. The things to kill show up all over the place.

Don't let this be your last one. At least do them until you have fun once.

I believe everybody understood how you felt when you died. Lost, confused, angry. We've all been there. Here's the fun part of dying at a spawn. You and the other ghosts get to stand around joking and all anybody else can see (except for necros maybe) is Ooo ooOOOo ooOoO oooO

Heck 3 mins into my first one I saw monochrome and couldn't get a rez until it was all over with and most folks (non-PGoH) had grabbed the gold and left the area. Luckily there were some nice PGoH folks present that got me rezed and looted.

The second one was, well, just wild. I think everybody had died twice before I ran out of time and had to leave. Same problem there that Linda had today. Newer people that had not done champ spawns before and were not sure what to do.

I'm still looking for "the line"

All to often we assume other players know what we mean and what we are thinking. Lord knows I am guilty of that myself.

Pride has given some good advice on this page. But, I would like to request some additional info.

Could a post be made that expalins the different spawns, what to expect there, and what roles the different character types need to fill?

As usual, the empire is growing. Information of this nature would be quite usefull for new members.

edit: If I get a chance, and remember to do so, I'll head back there later and mark a rune on top of the building. That way we can gate players that can't teleport up on the roof.

Might be a good idea for the mages that work the spawns to make similar runes for future hunts. Afraid I don't know that much about all the spawns.

Ok, I recieved an UO acccount from a friend that has left the game.

It has a bard on it with 96 music and 74 provocation.

My question is what should I provoke at what levels to GM the skill?

Figure he had the character there, might as well use it.

All the sites I have found with provo information suggest using a formula to decide whether or not to provo the creature in question. The problem is: The all start with "Use Animal Lore......."

Well, animal lore is zero.

Any advice helps.

Actually, I posted on BOD books when they were first mentioned. The response was that they'd take up too much memory.

This doesn't mean we aren't able to do them. It just means it's a tricky issue to circumvent. Although, the responses on here have been well thought out and I really am grateful for folk's criticism, debates, and ideas.

I am attempting to translate Hane's message. Here is what I have so far: "Don't hold your breath folks. It isn't happening."

On a side note. Did you know Hanse was a BOD person himself? If you head to Haven and check out the mansion (it used to be young only, not anymore) you will find BOD's completed by Hanse. If you go running around the Haven Ettins you will even find Hanse's Ancient Smithing Hammer.

To be honest. I think we are all at a loss on what exactly happened.

To the best of my knowledge a GoL memeber or members were making accusations against a member or members of PGoH. Whether this was kill stealing or what I do not know. At one point GoL had placed a Kill On Sight order for Pride of PGoH. Pride was jailed for safety. A 24 hour period I believe.

GoL was not very open to communication in resolving this matter.

PGoH withdrew from the Catskills Alliance due to the actions by GoL.

Also, while GoL was never able to provide any "proof" to their accusations, the UO Journals and/or screen shoots provided by PGoH members did not show any truth to the accusations made by GoL.

Again, this is all just to the best of my knowledge. I would not consider any of it to be factual. This is just what has filtered down to the legionnaire level.

The two items I do know to be 100% fact are:

1 - Pride was jailed for Pride's own safety for a 24 hour period

2 - PGoH withdrew from the Catskills Alliance due to the actions by GoL.

These were both annouced by Head of State-Greg at the last meeting of the Empire.

While it does not contain all of the answers, I do hope this helps.
