Chibi Posted February 13, 2005 Share Posted February 13, 2005 Ummk, where do I start. Aww yes, Some of you probally dont know me however some of you that have pplaied for many year will. Back in 03 I left UO due to intrest. Plaied for some od 4 years was in PGOH for about 2 1/2 of those. After leaving UO I plaied Planetside, which is a cool FPS. But as some remember I spoke of how I wanted to join the NAVY. Well I did just that alil after High School I enlisted into the Navy in Sept 03 and went threw schooling and all and then came to a Cruiser in San Deigo recently got back from a deployment to Iraq last month. Upon getting back we were told that we could get DSL internet in our barraks. Me being the gamer that I am jumped on it right away. Which leads me up to the last 2 weeks. When I got internet I wanted to play a MMORPG, why didnt I pick up UO? I feel that it has been so long and the game has changed so much and also everyones chars are so far along itd be hard to catch up, I havent checked my acct to see if for some miracle its still there but Ill be doing it later this week. Anyways, I bought EQ2 Im a 19 Pred right now and I just dont think that its the game for me Im to much of a UO fan to play EQ2. Some questions I have for you guys (my only contacts to UO) are, Hows the game? What are some basic day to day bad things about it? Do you ever find yourself sitting around staring at your screen doing nothing or can you pertty much find something going on at all times? Hows the newest expansion? On Cats is there even any room for a new person to place housing or is housing still hard to come by at times? Whats the newest server they released? Are they thinking or is there talk of releasing a new server anytime soon? Those are just some quick ones I have but Id love to hear everyone thoughts on the game, EQ2 is fun however when you look at it all chars are basically the same because theres nothing really you can do to make your lvl 20 war dif from someone else's lvl 20 war, know what im talking about? Theres alil like races and such but for the most part you'll do just about the same damage and same spells and such, theres only so many armors and you cant have a really badass wep at a low lvl. So its like what am I working towards? To be just like this other guy? enough of my ramblings, Im stuck on the ship today so I just wanted to drop by and say hello to all. Have a good one. There are still a few old timers around that could let you know whats going on in game. Well, depending on your location and connection its usually lag. GM's are not always what wed call extremely useful. But all in all, i cant complain. Well, Ive taken to playing a lot on the Europa shard, simply because of how insanely active the roleplaying is there. However, on Catskills you should still always be able to find something to do be it exploring Tokuno, monster hunting, or other things. Hows the newest expansion? Its fun, but there are some extremely Gimpy templates that are about because of it, and you can get dropped in fel extremely fast. Monsters are harder, and the new virtue of Honour is in place. On Cats is there even any room for a new person to place housing or is housing still hard to come by at times? There are still places in Tokuno, Malas, and Trammel, but none of them are large; Id assume you could probably find some large ones in Felucca. Whats the newest server they released? Origin, a new server that is probably flooded already. Are they thinking or is there talk of releasing a new server anytime soon? Most of any playing time is used for World of Warcraft. That being said, I'll leve the feedback to those like KD that still play as they can provide far better insight than I. Now the game,it has changed much since you left,many new things, new skills new ways of armor, and weapons AND many new skills.Best I can offer you for now is read stratics.Look under weapons armor skills etc. Then look in the "Hunters guide" for new baddies.
