Some highlights:

GreenMarine - What we are currently planning is that you get that first politician box with some apprentice xp.

GreenMarine - Its novice in that it has no other skill requirements.

Q-3PO - So you can start working on that if you want to be among the first politicians....

Dariuas - *[TMPST]Werzoth* Does the buildings for the city (cantina, hospital, player garage, theater, parks, fountains, etc.) take any lots? Maintenance? Could you explain how the process works with the interaction of politician and urban planner and placing those inside the city?

GreenMarine - I'll take this one.

GreenMarine - Structures owned by the city like cloning facilities and shuttleports don't take up lots. Cantinas and hospitals are owned by players and do take up lots.

GreenMarine - For city structures, maintenance is paid by the city as a lump sum.

GreenMarine - Cities can charge various taxes to help pay for the maintenance.

GreenMarine - Initially, politician will be focused on running the city. They gain various abilities to enhance the city, etc.

GreenMarine - Urban Planner...I'm still not sure how this profession will happen. It may be that we go with putting the new schematics into architect instead. It's still being discussed.

GreenMarine - done :)

Dariuas - *[TMPST]Werzoth* Could you tell us a bit more about the 5 ranks a city can have? (requirements to go up/down (citizens, structures?), radius granted at each rank, rewards, etc.).

GreenMarine - The five ranks scale from outpost to metropolis. A city earns rank as players join the city as citizens.

GreenMarine - In order to be a citizen, you have to own a declared residence within the city.

GreenMarine - Ranks enable city abilities. A rank 4 "city," for example, can have a shuttleport. An outpost (rank 1) can't.

GreenMarine - The idea is that as you work to build your city, you are rewarded for the effort by unlocking new structures.

GreenMarine - done.

Dariuas - *Ichiir* What is the minimum distance a player city has to be from an existing static city?

GreenMarine - The radius of the city can't overlap an existing static city. Ideally, you want to build your city away from no build regions so that you get the most out of your radius.

GreenMarine - The max radius of two player placed cities cannot overlap.

GreenMarine - So even though your city might start small, the max potential city size can't interfere with the max potential city size of another city.

Dariuas - *Creidsinn* will the money from taxes be going to a special bank account for city use only or will the money be lying int he mayor's bank account?

GreenMarine - The money goes into the city treasury. I'm still working out a good way to make the treasury secure, so the mayor can't cut and run. Possibly by putting transactions up for a vote. It isn't certain at this point.

Dariuas - *SensSmaq* When can architects expect to have their broken schematics fixed (lamps that don't light, items that are identical, couches that dont work) and when will our broken Construction skill tree be adressed?

GreenMarine - Very soon, we are reintroducing our company "Bug Day" where everyone focuses on bugs only for one day of the week.

GreenMarine - things like broken schematics are very easy to fix, they just take some time (the crafting data can be hairy). Bug Day will help us address issues like this much more quickly.

Dariuas - *BlindTyldak* How much faster can a mount move than a PC avatar? Are there some that can run constantly at BR speed or faster?

Blair - There are differences in many of the creatures.

Blair - But in general, mounts will move about as fast as a player who is using burst run.

Blair - The idea is for mounts to be a cool feature, as well as reduce travel times.

Blair - I think you will enjoy it.

Blair - But we don't want to tell you what creatures we are releasing quite yet.

Blair - It's a secret!

Alright, so we need Sesh to get more apprentice xp to get novice politician.

We need everyone in the guild to have at least one house (doesn't matter size). Cities will be based upon the number of player houses you have in the city. We need enough to get to Rank 4 before other cities so we can get ourselves a shuttle port and not have to walk!!

A city earns rank as players join the city as citizens.

In order to be a citizen, you have to own a declared residence within the city.

Also, the max radius of two player placed cities cannot overlap. So we need to be the first with a mayor.

One thing we have to consider is are we set where we are or are we going to move once urban planner comes out I am happy either way but we do not get the ability to level the ground so we need a lot of room to spread out.

We need everyone to have one house regardless of size since citys will be determined by declared residence and you can only declare a house that you own as a residence. If you want more than one house that would be great but someone with 5 small houses would not count 5 times towards the city size.
