MArkham Posted September 8, 2003 Share Posted September 8, 2003 Ok here is my idea. Before they patched and allowed admins to drop things in houses this was not possible but now that they can it is. I would like to setup a Medium house that we use as the ITC mall. We could give each of the guild crafters and non crafters that are doing mining vendor rights and make this a public building. You need business 3 under the artisian line to be able to place a vendor and I would be willing to go up the merchant line again so that we could advertise on the global map. I just think it would be neat to have a mall where people can come do their one stop shopping and we can put crafting stations in the basement so visiting crafters can slap stuff together if they need. Kimpek only needs Master trained in order to be a master merchant. He can advertise on the map if need be. I suggest we make this a generic house. Then arrange with Bal to place it please post here or send me an email in game if you want on the list so you can place a vendor. Once this is up and running we can discuss ways to get vendors up for people that cant put their own down perhapes a merchant would like to offer up vendor space to some non crafters for a resource vendor to help out. After much travelling to many other cities around the most populous planets and seeing how other PAs have their vendors setup, having a "mall" or vendor house is ideal. This was the essence of my question last night at the PA meeting; to bring shoppers from the galaxy to our one-stop shop, not really to open up our PA hall to the masses. It was just that the most vivid images I recalled where many vendors were all in one place were in a PA hall or at least a structure the size of a PA hall. I like the idea of having a seperate vendor venue where all guildies can sell their wares. Whether it be a medium house, a large house, a PA structure, whatever. Being that we are a "Trade Consortium", is only makes sense that we show off what we've got. We have some awesome Master Tradespersons in this guild, and its high time we let the galaxy know it! I find it much nicer to arrive at a waypoint after travelling a long way for something to think... "hmm, I wonder what other wares this PA provides? and proceed to scour the area for the other vendors" Places I like to shop and have multiple vendors in one building are the ones I usually "/waypoint" and will revisit next time I'm in the area. If people can get everything in one place, they're more likely to come by. It was one of the ideas we were tossing around before we joined the ITC.
