Tip to teach new members

I myself am a new member. I can understand how many leaders in the guild would have a hard time teaching new members, as it has been a long time since they themselves were new members. But I figured I could help with the massive confusion of joining PGoH at least a little bit.

Well, one of my first experiences as a new member was witnessing Nyssa take codex. I noticed how she continually said she didnt know and no one teached her. I myself knew nothing at all of the questions Borg asked her. After this event I asked Kaaya if she had a moment to help me enhance some items I had found. We went to my house and she started trying to enhance things I gave her. Then I gave her a particularly difficult platemail tunic to enhance. It had 95 luck and I asked her to enhance it with gold ingots. She told me it would be EXTREMELY difficult and even she, a legendary smith, would have a very small chance of success. Then she said something close to "Vulcan give me your blessings". I was a little confused, however I had read a little of PGoH having many gods in game. Then she handed me my tunic, shiny and gold. Now I realized, Vulcan must be the God of smiths or the God of metal. If she had briefed me a moment about Vulcan I would have learned a valuable lesson. This event gave me the idea, teaching is easier through experience.

If a new player doesnt understand who Vulcan is, then show them. Introduce them to a smith and when the smith prays to Vulcan and succeeds at a difficult task, then the new player is amazed and understands Vulcan more. It is much too difficult to tell a person to read 24 pages because by page 5, they will have forgotten page 1. You have to SHOW the person what each God is all about. And let them witness a council meeting to understand the government. I am sure you probably have already considered these opinions, however I thought they were a good idea so I wanted to share my opinion. Sorry this was so long and I hope you get good use out of it. Thank you for your time.
