Prometheus Posted July 29, 2002 Share Posted July 29, 2002 Fing and I were testing the degree that pack instinct helps animals fight. First test was with a group of predator hellcats ... they did pretty horrible. Next, we tried a group of frenzied ostards ... oh MAN it was just wrong. When you get 5 of them together, you can go to town on just about any monster. We took down a daemon with little trouble. Then we headed down to the bottom of Covetous where the drakes and dragons spawn. Between the both of use (10 ostards) we took down a dragon in about 30 seconds. The pact instinct is INSANELY powerful ... this should prove a great help to up and coming tamers (like Shal) who can no longer control their mares and dragons as of Pub 16. Prometheus Posted July 31, 2002 Author Share Posted July 31, 2002 I'm not 100% sure ... the frenzied had ~ 120 hps each ... seemed to be able to take maybe 3 or 4 hits form the dragon.
