  1. Back to the subject at hand, my top 10 scariest D&D monsters are (in no particular order) Check the links, I founds some pretty good pics 1) Beholder Beholder 2) Demogorgon 3) Orcus (on whom the UO "Dark Father" is based, a run on the Dark Father is a bit like playing Module H4... you go down into the Abyss to kick Orcus' ass, just cause you are pissed at him... H4 has twists like ... you ACCIDENTALLY miss the turn to Orcus' plane of the Abyss and end up on Demorgorgon's plane, so, just because you are there, you have to KILL Demogorgon before going back to the crossroads where you made the wrong turn... there are 27 fully documented wrong planes (of the 666) that you can wander into and face instant insanity, any one of 10 Demon Lords, etc ... I don't know about you, but when I'm looking to kick the ass of a Demon Lord and I have to find my way to his palace on one of the 666 planes of the Abyss.... I find a ###### map first) 4) Type VI (Demon) Balor (The Balron, of whom there were 6 in the AD&D world) 5) The Tarrasque (Orcus' Doorman) (to put that pic in perspective, I think the Tarrasque was 20' tall)(The Tarrasque (from Throne of Bloodstone module #H4) 6) Pit Fiend 7) Tiamat Tiamat 8) Lich Lich 9) Mind Flayer Mind Flayer 10) Nightmare And I guess one super-bonus.... the Aboleth Aboleth Take all the fear the Mind Flayer inflicts and change the creature from humanoid to a giant super intelligent fish mind flayer which is an organized society, secretly plotting the fall of the human race) Yeah, that's the one I've had the most nightmares about -Valshea
  2. Eh, considering we used to play D&D together, I don't recall you being afraid of the *grabs 4th Edition (8/79) Monster Manual handy from shelf * Gelatinous Cube And for those of you who aren't following me already, here are some stats that will baffle you Gelatinous Cube FREQ: Uncommon NO. BOD Books?

Could anyone make me some BOD books? I'm willing to pay standard market price for them. I just returned to the game after about a year away and these BOD books sound pretty good. Just can't find anywhere to buy them --Valshea and Brianna (27089036)
  4. Let me know if you have one available for trade or sale. Thanks, Valshea

    Pricing items

Yeah, the UO economy has always baffled me Unfortunately, I never seem to have any of the items that people are paying a lot for, so I get angry that my items won't sell for hundreds of thousands of gp and just end up junking all the stuff or holding out waiting for a price that will never come. Someone once told me "You should price things at what YOU would pay for them" Of course you have to picture yourself as someone would would use this item but wouldn't be able to get it themselves. UO is just a time/money trade off. Anyone can get just about any item themselves given enough time, but they'll pay for it if they are feeling lazy So this helps and it doesn't.... pricing magical armor and weapons is VERY hard. From my experience, only the best stuff will sell (and it will bring in some good gold) but average and even above average magic items tend to have pretty low values. I tend to just give it away to guildmates or new players who can enjoy it e.g. a leather tunic of lower reg cost 4% probably won't sell... EVER, but there is probably a guildmate or new character that would enjoy it. --Valshea
  8. Erm, why would your suit get worn out? Are you neglecting proper maintenance of your armor? --Brianna GM Smith, 103 Tailor
  9. Hmm, well my dagger still seems to be newbiefied even though it doesn't say "blessed" or anything like that. I'm not sure, maybe you are right. Does your lower reg cost suit need to be mage armor? I have some decent pieces if the answer is no, otherwise pieces will become available as I get better ones I have a skullcap of lower reg cost 10% if you are intested. --Valshea
  10. It occurs to me that we have a number of members with different skills That being said, it costs some of us very little (other than our time) to acquire certain items, some items however are beyond the grasp of some players, but it seems like there should be some good opportunities for bartering. That being said, it might be interesting for people to post a wishlist of items they want as some of us might have piles of extra lying around and being willing to trade for something that they can't easily acquire So, I shall start by posting a list of things that I want and things that I'd have that I'd be willing to barter with Stuff I want: skull candle, brazier, stacked books, lamppost, hanging armor, tarot cards, smithing PS, 120 Magery, Med, Eval scrolls, newbie scissors, closed barrel, reg reduce mage armor Stuff I have to barter with: Clothing bless deeds, tailoring PSes 105,110,115, garg pickaxes, prospector tools, dc/shadow/copper runics, powder of temperment, SOSes, colored nets, metal chests, luck items, magic armor/weapons, dragon slaying instruments, thorns, seeds (and probably some stuff I'm forgetting) So post your wishlists and lets see if we can do some trading --Valshea
  11. Hmm, I will never figure out this UO economy.... so what you are telling me is that the hardered to get "clothing bless deeds" are worth LESS than the easier to get bear rugs. *thwaps self in head*
  12. And how much are bear/polar bear rugs worth? I'm trying to get a relative value. --Valshea
  13. Yes you can Just take the output from the UO Assist vendor agent, paste it in and hit "analyze" you can then set the retain/sell/trade on the BODs and save. --Valshea
  14. Oh and to add insult to injury, all my tries for power of temperment give me gargoyles pickaxes... so anyone who needs their miner to be slaughtered by ore eles just give me a holler, I'm giving away 50 garg's pickaxes. --Brianna
