Aye it's a different world now. I'm not sure it's better but it's very different. Yes I'm female, but I wonder.

Look at the kids then

Look at the kids now.

*wonders*

Whoop

I'm liking you more and more!

Seriously though.  I think that there is a direct correlation to the breakdown of the family unit and delinquints.  Someone belongs at home with the kids whether it be the husband or the wife.  It should't be viewed as a sacrafice, but as a responsibility that comes with the privilage of having a family.

I've always stayed home with my kids. I've never looked at but anything but a privelege. I know my husband and I have sacrificed a lot in material ways to do it, but I've felt blessed I had a husband that saw it was important too. The kids came first. I have great kids so far. People are always asking how come my kids are so good and how do I know the words to those songs and ect etc. Yes I know every dinosaur name there is, I know the boy bands, I know the American Girl Dolls and have read every book!. how you think I got into this game? My oldest kid! hehe, the point is I'm in there lifes even if I have to push my way in, but it takes a lot of energy and I admire my friends that can do both, work and be involved. I'm too old and tired to do both!

I really think it's easier to stay home and be a full time mom, but at times it's lonely work and you can feel the world passing you by. If the husband isn't a great and supportive guy it's even harder.

Bottom line, the kids. I look it at this way, I gave birth to this kid, I owe it 18 years to give it wings.

Scary.. the first time I read this I thought it was a joke...... then I came to the gradual realization that it isn't...  Damn, men were *%@holes..

I mean don't get me wrong.. I'd like a wife like that too, but if you even ASK for some of the things on this list, you're boud to lose 50% of your worldly possessions....

WOW! So I thought this was "cute" and decided to print it out and post it up next to the CPU.  Well, needless to say this did not go over very well with the little lady!  She wanted to know if they all slept on couches too in the "good ol' days" and suggested that if I didn't, I should remove this, hehe

Needless to say, its been removed......:smash:

*hears a whip cracking off in the distance*

WIMP! You caved!! That's why these rules aren't in effect presently. Between stupidity and the feminist movement, men gave in!  :D

It really does make you wonder.  Where along the way did family take a back seat.  Don't get me wrong, I don't support the whole mentality portrayed in the text, but the idea of stability in the household makes a whole wack of sense to me.

I think certain governments may be realizing this as well.

Up here for example (Canada) laws changed this year to allow for a full year of maternity leave at 60% of the base salary.  Husbands can take paternity for 36 weeks should they desire, as part of that one year if you want to split it up.

If it's financially feasible, I personally would rather trust the upbringing of my child to myself and spouse as opposed to daycare.

I agree with you 100% Wolf.  I would much rather my wife or myself to stay home with the kids no matter what the cost instead of daycare. That is what will produce a more secure child in the long run.

And Coldren  :D  I did not GIVE in, I mearly compromised the situation(she said take it down,I said "ok") hehe

I know ye are my friend, hehe   I was wondering who else's attention I would get and Suin was the winner:)  But now she's read all your posts, she thinks that you "just need a good woman" (like her of course) to settle you down a bit, hehe

GOOD LUCK!

*laughs*

No thank you... you only need to get one marriage engagement broken to ruin your taste for committment. I've decided I'm just going to be rich... Until that happens, a "good woman" will take a back seat, for once I am rich, that little problem will take care of itself. :D

Umm how would you know she's a "good woman" and not just after your money?

Just wondering what other wisdom you have to offer here.;)

Im still young, and maybe Im wrong, but this is my take on it...

The reason why kids these days for the most part are soo messed up and destined for Jail or worse is a combination of things.. one is definatley TV... I mean come on, primetime on most channels would give someone a coronary back then, and kids soak junk like that up at an early age like a sponge...

another thing is the cost of living is way higher than it was back then... people have to spend more and more of their time working just to support their children... man and wife work their ass off to provide things for their children they didnt have, in the process seeing less and less of each other, grow apart get deviorced, split the kids up, dead beat dads, single mothers raising children without a father figure, drugs, peer pressure, :0 you get the idea... just a few reasons why the future of America is not as bright as most would like...

Like I said before, maybe Im wrong, what do I know, im a kid myself..

Oh, I'm counting on it being for the money at first..

Which guy gets the girls attention first: The good looking one in the Ferrari or the good looking guy in the Ford Escort?

It's like fishing... Dave Chapelle said it best:

From Dave Chaplle - "Killin'em Softly"

A woman's challange in life is material.

A man's challange in life.. is a woman.

If a guy could get away with having sex in a cardboard box, they wouldn't even own a house..

Guys don't care what cars they drive.. Guys don't particularly like nice cars.. But girls do... That's why the guys get the nice cars. It's the bait:

"Ooo girl look at the guy in that Porche!"

"GOTCHA B*#$H!"

Hook, line, and sinker....

Truer words were never spoken.. Ask any guy :D  And besides when I have the money, I have the luxury of taking my pick.

And I don't meet women well.. I'm not ugly or hideous or anything like that.. I'm just shy.. and when women do try to talk to me I don't really have much to say.. I'm a pretty boring guy. I go to work, pay my bills, play computer, watch movies/TV, get drunk on the weekends with my friends and occasionally sleep. Not exactly an exciting life :p

Furthermore, who says I'm not going to have a prenup that works heavily in my favor? Cheat on me once, you're gone and you get nothing. Divorce me for some other reason? You're gone, no money for you. I cheat (which I NEVER have and never will.. My parents taught me better than that)? Divorce me. THEN I'll see who's marrying me for me.

See, it's all planned out! :sleep2:

Coldren, we need to get together over a few beers man!!

Mmmmm.... beer..... Would sound like a great plan, but the problem is I'm only 20 (Note, just cause I can't drink at a BAR doesn't mean I don't drink :D ) so you'd have to bring the beers...

Other than that, I'm definitly game  :D

Id have to have my ID with me.. heh.. although im 22 I look like im 17 :p  A curse when buyin beer, but ill be thankin my lucky stars when im 30 and look 24  ;)

As a matter of fact I have an empty keg in the garage..

only 65$ to fill it up! hehe

:D

And as far as the gold diggin chicken head skeezaz go, you can see them commin a mile away.. The trick is beating them at their own game before they have a chance to do it.. Finding the "right girl/guy" shouldnt be high on anyones priority list in their lower or mid  20's anyway.. because wether or not most want to admit it, they arent ready for that kind of commitment... I know im sure as h-e double hocky sticks not.. life is too short to have to worry about providing for a wife and kids when your just becomming an adult....  I'll stick to parties and bars, beer and multiple girls.. as apposed to one.. You might find that offending ladies of PGoH, but im sure you have more morals and self respect about you than the sugar daddy hunting, clothes are my life, go out with a guy untill i find something better,  "OH MY GOD! LOOK AT HIS RIDE!!" girls im referring too...

ok im done...
