The game is in Beta three, so most of the information shared is final, but just like with any game, until its seen in game, nothing is certian. Also, the information I will be providing will be info on DRAGONS, as this is the race that we will be focusing on. While the guild is by no means restricted to non-dragons, your humaniod lack of flight might be a hinderance until our members have reached an age where they can give rides.

Dragons as a race:

Dragons where for a long time worshiped as gods in Istaria, as we rightly should be. The primitave humans, elves, and dwarves where still following around herds of succulent elk and batteling with sticks and stones when we where crafting the foundations of titanic magics and great cities. Had it not been for the great schism we would still be the dominate race, but between our race being torn asunder, the other races rallying under common flags and reproducing at a rate that we could never keep up with, we would still be the dominate beings. As it is we are divided into two facitons, a scholorly faciton and a militaristic one. The scholors feel that we should take the reins and lead the races by example, in order to dominate the withered agies, an undead blight that scoures the land. The militaristic group feels that we should either ignore them, or crush them, whatever the current situation merits. Which group will take dominance is yet to be decided, but either way the lesser races of Istaria must be delt with before they rise up and overwhelm us.

School:

The other races must choose a school to persue, and eventually a prestige class thereof. Dragons do not have this option, we instead choose a school, then focus in it broadly, using our special abilities and magical items to bring our focus to bear. Example: A feinish scholor might choose to specialize in elemental magic, and then further in fire. While his fire spells will be very potent, he will not be able to cast water spells. Also his other non elemental spells will be penelized, but less so then his other elements. Dragons on the other hand master all types of spells, and then augment them with spelstones, magic dragon artifacts that only we can use. A spell stone might do anything, from allowing us faster flight to changing our breath weapon from fire to acid. Our warriors use spellstones to make there claws sharper and harder, and their scales thicker and more resistant to spells. But this is just combat.

Our craftsmen bretheren are also unique to other races, in everything from technique to supplies. The only supplies our craftsmen use are Essance and Stone. Stone is the material component for our items, as well as our homes, while essance is the very magical force that surrounds each of us. It serves our craftsmen not only as the fuel for our magical items, but the tools themselves. We do not carve our home with chisles and hammers, we will the rock away through sheer force of will. Also, only dragan craftsmen might make spellstones.

Abilities/Statistics:

Dragons are physicly the mighties of races, and the only race comperable in might is the best examples of the half-giants. Dragons are the fastest of the races, the only race comperable is the paragons of the Saris. Dragons are the wisest of the races, only even taking time to listen to the greatest of feindish scholors. But this is not how we start, as even Dragons come from humble beginings.

We start as Whelps, as large as a half-giant but not as strong. Through persuit of our chosen school and the amasing of a horde, we eventually reach an age where we might partake of the right of passage, a secret Draconic ceramony. Should he pass, the Whelp becomes an adult. An adult is comperable to any race in any aspect, and has a breath weapon that can vanquish many foes at once. Most importantly, and adults wings become strong enough to support him for flight. At this point a dragon might also begin persuing other breath weapons as an alternative to fire.

Once again skill, a horde and time must be accumulated to an even greater ammount, and once it has been put together the Adult takes upon another right of passage. Should he live through the dangerous ritual, he will emerge an Ancient Dragon, the most mighty being in all Istaria. Able to use an assortment of breath weapons, scales as hard as mytherial, a natural spell casting ability rivaling any human or feindish sorcerer, and the coveted ability to give rides to humaniods, the Ancient Dragon is the Paragon of Draconic might, and the greatest being in all of the land.

Dwellings:

While out horde moves about with us magicly, we have many other items that we may desire to use, thus giving us reason for holdings. Also we need to band together as a community in order to protect each other from being destroyed by the shear numbers of the other races. The greatest assets Dragons have in this endevor is the ability of flight, allowing us to use our magic stoneshaping skills to craft cities that littleraly float eternaly in the sky. These cities are only reachable through magical portals and flight itself, and between our magic and breathweapons seige to out homes can be litterally impossable. We are also able to make lairs on the ground like the lesser races should we choose to do so.

If there is any other aspects of the game you have questions about, just ask and I will post followup information.
