Guild Ranking, Hierarchy and Invite Policy

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to take a few minutes to present to you our guild ranking system, hierarchy and invite policy. The layout is tentative at this time, we are giving it a try to see if it will work the way we hope it does. So from top-to-bottom, the guild ranking is as follows:

Grand Lord / Guildmaster

Role: Primary guild lead

(Khabe)

Dark Lords

Role: Guild founders and secondary leads

(Syban, Martok (Reavus/Savrem), Balandar)

Lords

Role: This rank is given to all guild officers. We anticipate that individuals that identify themselves are being leaders and having a long history of contributions to the guild will be made into Lords.

(TBD - Future guild officers)

Masters

Role: This rank is given to guild members in charge of specific guild elements such as role-play/lore, resources (a.k.a. guild bank), heroics/flashpoints, operations, etc. Masters are given permissions similar to Lords but their rank is conditional as long as they continue in their responsibilities.

(TBD - Future guild contributors)

Apprentices

Role: Primary members of the guild.

(Regular members)

Acolytes

Role: New guild recruit, members of this rank can only access guild chat. Acolytes are reviewed periodically by Officers to determine if full guild membership should be given.

(New recruits)

Guild Invite Policy

New Player Invites:

At this time we are experimenting with an open door policy. This means that all guild members (with the exception of Acolytes) have the right to invite new players into the guild. The new players are given the rank of Acolyte and only have access to Guild Chat. Acolytes are required to go through the application process. If an application is not received on behalf of an Acolyte within a reasonable amount of time, the player will be removed from the guild. Likewise, if the application is rejected by any of the Guild Officers, the Acolyte will be removed.

Alt Invites:

We are currently not enforcing any limitation on alt's. Players wishing to invite their alt into the guild are free to do so. The only requirement is that players communicate their character status to a guild officer so as to identify and rank the alt accordingly. Failure to communicate an alt's identity will result in treating that alt as a new player.

Please feel free to comment on the policies stated above. Any recommendations are appreciated.
