Rizin's Story

Gazing down upon the fields of Tirisfal Glades as members of the Scourge searched for her, Rizin thought back to the pains that had brought her this far. Starting off as a young woman in Lordaeron, it was hard enough preparing for her trials as a priest, let alone war. Rumors told of the Scourges march upon Azeroth, and the city was in a state of panic. Rizin was assigned to a young rogue named Kuik, and her orders passed down from command were seemingly simple. "Keep this rogue alive at all costs." Once the Burning Legion desended upon the city, there was no hope of survival. Rizin stuck true to her word, keeping Kuik alive and reigning down holy fire upon the creatures. However, before long, the young priest grew weary, and suddenly Kuik turned around and struck under Rizins robe with his dagger. Mortally wounded, all Rizin could do was watch as Kuik turned and ran into the shadows, with no Legion attempting to follow. All grew cold, as spirit seperated from flesh, the eyes opening unto a new light. As soon as she felt her soul finally release from her body however, she still felt incredible pain coursing throughout her incorporeal form. Writhing in unbelievable pain, she twisted her lips in an unatural way and found herself standing in a deserted city. Bodies laying in piles on fire, forms moving through the shadows. Glancing around, unsure of what to think, she looked down to see her hands were deformed. Pieces of flesh fell off the bone, yet she felt no pain. Her mortal wound from Kuik's betrayal was still open, yet no blood flowed throughout her veins. As Rizin began to walk she felt her foot caught under a rock, and looked down to it to see that it was twisted in a way to be broken. A cold hand then placed itself on her shoulder, and no fear ran through her. Turning to face the individual, ripping loose her foot from unde rthe rock, her eyes came across an troll priest. " Do not worry mon, you be feelin no more pain for now on. Yo be one of de undead, a gift of De Forsaken, and da curse." Knowing now that she was one of the undead, it became clear why she had felt pain in her rebirth. Cursed as the holy power is, it still heals living and undead alike. " You maybe want da lesson in da unholy arts, go undah to tha UndaCity and speak wit Sylvanas, she show you da way mon", and off the troll went.

From that moment on, cursed with the holy gift, she knew what she had to do. The reason of her death, the reason of her rebirth into this unholy form was one rogues fault, and Kuik would pay. Arising from her hiding spot, she was spotted by members of the Scourge. As she felt the pain return to her veins, the holy fire return to her fingertips, she smiled as she knew what it meant to be cursed. Through gritted teeth, the workds of holy fire sent bolts of flame onto her attackers, and after the flames died down, she would continue her search for the one who brought this curse upon her.
