  1. In the words of Senator Arthil...Ho Ho Ho! It's that time of year again! Where our thoughts turn to gingerbread houses and candy canes. To celebrate this most joyous season I'd like to host a Secret Santa followed by a Holiday party. We've done this in the past, and it was loads of fun! For the Secret Santa... I will place a chest in Olympus (in the meeting room) labeled "Secret Santa" If you would like to participate write your name on the first page of an empty book, not the title, and place it in the chest. Next weekend we can draw names and then we can exchange gifts at the party! Looking at Tuesday before Christmas for the party? Say around 8 o'clock? Any thoughts?

    Thanks

To all those who aided in the Honordayz festivities. I think it's safe to say it was success! Cheers to you PGoH!
  3. I was thinking that Piper would maybe be able to make a fancy sort of invitation to initially announce the Birthday/Events. Then we can post the full bill of events. That being said, what events still need a lead? I can do the casino night.
  4. Honordayz Bill of Events Zeus - Opening Closing/Ceremonies - Olympus Courtyard October 11th, 2009 - 7 ET October 25th, 2009 - 7 ET Mars - Jousting Tournament - Sautrday, October 17, 2009 @ 9 ET - Marketplace/Joust Ceres - Egg Hunt and Feast - Wednesday, October 21, 2009 @ 8 ET Posiedon - Community Nets - Date? Vulcan - Ore Harvest - Date? Apollo - Bards Night Championship - Saturday, October 24th, 2009 @ 9 PM - Galehaven Vesta - Trades Baazar - Date? Artimes - Archery Tournament - Saturday, October 17th, 2009 @ 7 ET - Trinsic Training Area Mercury - Casino Night - Date? Hades - Peerless Hunt - Date? Venus - Healer's Challenge - Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 @ 8 PM - Infirmary Minerva - Treasure Hunt - Date? Hera - Zoo Collection - Date? As you can see, we've got to iron out some dates. I know there has been discussion of hosting the festival over one or two weeks. I would personally suggest we do the two week long festival with something along the lines of grouping events together based on length and complexity. Longer events get their own night, shorter ones can be grouped together. I'll get some more out on this hopefully tomorrow. Getting close!!
  5. Great Suggestions So Far!! From the list that's been generated here's my thoughts... Zeus - Opening/Closing Ceremonies...lighting of HONORDAYZ torch (Brazier Deco)....start running the torch through Britannia? Mars - Joust...with betting on matchups (NCAA tournament style...can make part of Mercury event) Ceres- Easter Egg Hunt/Feast Poseidon - Battles at Sea/Naval Warfare Vulcan - Merchant Bazaar....Olympus Marketplace Apollo - Bard's Night Vesta - Deco contest sounds fun...not sure if how difficult it would be to implement...ALTERNATIVES? Artemis - Archery Tournament Mercury - Lottery/Gambling/Joust Brackets....where to host? Galehaven? Casino night type night? Would be best if we had a brothel... Hades - Nude Dungeon Crawl...ALTERNATIVES? Venus - Healer's Challenge Minerva - Riddles and Puzzle Challenge Hera - Zoo Donation Given the # of events we are planning we'll likely have to make this a 2 week affair. Plan the more popular events on the weekends and such. Next step will be to finalize the events we want to host, choose leads for each event (i.e. Scarst put together rules/rewards for Archery tourney), then we can begin advertising. FOR HONOR AND EMPIRE!!!
  6. As some of you may have heard we are planning a week long festival of events to celebrate PGoH's 12th Birthday (10/11/1997-10/11/2009). This festival will be known as Honordayz, which was the working title of a similar festival Borg was planning with OSI a number of years ago, but unfortunately it never came to fruition. We have but a mere month before the festival arrives. Olympus nears completion and will be ready for it's Grand Opening for the festival. Keeping in line with our devotion to the GODS of skill each GOD/GODDESS shall be represented by an event. Please reply with possible ideas! Zeus- King of GODS....EVENT? Mars - GOD of WAR.....PvP Bracket Ceres- GODDESS of the Harvest...EVENT? Poseidon- GOD of the SEA....Boat Race/Naval Battle (UP?) Vulcan- GOD of Blacksmiths....Merchant Bazaar Apollo - GOD of Music and Poetry....Bard's Night Vesta - GODDESS of Wood...EVENT? Artimes - GODDESS of Flight and the Hunt...Archery Tournament Mercury - GOD of Mischief....Casino/Gambling Hades- GOD of Death....EVENT? Venus - GODDESS of Health...EVENT? Minverva - GODDESS of Intelligence....T Hunting race Hera - GODDESS of beasts...Dragon/Animal Fights These are all tentative, please feel free to discuss, brainstorm and contribute. Let's get this one done, it's 10 years in the making!!

    *Yawn*

Greg stumbled out of his lavish bed and made his way towards his balcony. The south Trinsic air brushed over Fox Bay and danced gingerly across Gregory's face. He smiled and yawned. He made his way towards the ornate wardrobe that held his most prized possessions. He tiredly slipped out of his nightgown and into his day's best, concluding the attire by firmly affixing his trademark hat atop his head. Fully awake at this point, Greg creaked down the wooden steps of his Estate and into the main hall. His brother Hippocrates had once again failed to set out a delicious breakfast, only a note indicating he'd be in the forest all morning sat on the table usually lush with morning delights. Hungry and rather upset for that matter he checked for any post that might have arrived during the night. He sifted through the notices...a copy of the trade receipt for delivery of Olympian Spiced Rum to Que's Tavern in exchange for a set of Gargish dictionaries only caught his eye, as he'd provided James, Mayor of New Haven the original document only hours prior. He tucked the post into his satchel and exited his grand estate. The gentle rush of water tip toed on his ear as he creaked over the bridge joining the grounds of his estate to the surrounding land. He summoned his etheral unicorn and with that took off like a flash towards the City Center. The grandeur of Olympus Castle quickly came into view with a sprinkling of government buildings surrounding it. He dismounted once outside his office, noticing of course the tavern still lay in ruin. He grimaced and made mental note to hassle the Senator of Inquiry regarding the completion of the tavern. Once inside his office he let himself fall into his chair. A mess of scrolls and parchment lay scattered accross his desk. A copy of the recent dispatch to the Yewish regarding diplomatic relations sat on top. The ink still fresh from the transcript; It stung his nostrils. He dipped his quill into a small bottle of ink and begain writing, Memorandum To: The Council of Honor From: The Head of State Re: Yewish Relations Brothers and Sisiters of Honor, As time passes it seems a response from the Yewish regarding our severing of diplomatic ties becomes more and more unlikely. Should this Office recieve such notification of their reciept of such proclomation it shall be passed on as necessary. Furthermore it should also be noted that recent attempts by newly appointed Emissary Rotep have been met with minor hostility and further attempts should be made with extreme predjuidice. It should also be noted that Legate Hiippocrates of Commerce has informed me that such hostility against the Yew has provided an impasse for the exportation of precious lumber from the area. With essential resources being sequestered by a potentially hostile adversary it is unadvisable to launch further collection attempts into the area without full Legion escort. Until such time as relations with the Yewish improve they shall be listed at diplomatic status of level VI, that of distrust and negative. Best Regards, E.G. Meridius the Ancient Head of State
  8. Birthname: Gregory Meridius Current Title: Emeritus Lord Gregory Meridius the Ancient Race: Human Age: 41, but looks much older due to his disregard for shaving Height: 6 foots Build: Strong and muscular. Despite his age Greg has muscles that nearly break through his skin. Eye color: Green Hair: Grayish-Black Complexion: He maintains a fairness from being born in Vesper, however the harsh sun from years as a Guardian in Trinsic has given him a rugged and tanned appearance. Identifying features: A long untrimmed gray beard with long gray hair. A purple Jester's hat. His hands are usually covered in some sort of ink from hours at study preparing documents and amending the PGoH Codex of Standard, which he authored. Et cetera: Greg is considered one of the best looking men in the realm. Many a lass have been attracted to his command of power and authority, especially when he was the Emperor. He lives only with his brother Hippocrates though, never finding true love. He is intelligent on most matters, and an accomplished orator. He is known to have a preference for donuts. To his brothers and sisters Greg will always be loyal and true, to those who betray the Empire he will hunt down and see them destroyed. Alignment: Lawful good.
  9. Whereas, for dedicated and long term service to the Empire the third day of March shall be observed in HONOR of Lord Ser Brightblade. This distinction comes for the countless effort Lord Brightblade put forth in all offices of the Empire. Whether as victorious Senator of War, reveling in the defeat of the Empire's enemies or the watchful Prefect truly standing as a guard of honor there is no man more worthy of this disctinction. Furthermore, the name of this holiday shall be known as Natalis Prefectus and shall be marked as a day of joyful recount of victories and tales of Lord Ser Brightblade the Ancient. As offered this the second day of March two thouasand and nine. E.G. Meridius the Ancient Head of State, PGoH
  10. PGoH has changed greatly over the years. The original idea for the Codex spawned from a lack of clear guidelines on issues the guild was facing at the time. As has been mentioned, the Codex has been changed many times over the years. The Codex was originally written when PGoH had close to 60-70 active, individual players. As time went on those number fluctuated and Codex was amended to suit the needs of the membership at that time. Right now we do no have 70 active, individual players. As a result it was recommended that certain positions be merged to keep our structure from being top heavy on leadership positions that we do not have the numbers to sustain. I will say this, the original proposal that I was presented with in terms of the reorganization of the Senate and Legion did not please me at all. It was through discussion that we arrived at what was passed by the Council recently. The Codex is a living document. It has strict protocols for revision, so no one person can stray too far from the ideals and original foundations of the Empire. These recent changes reflect necessary adjustments that are in line with our cherished past. As for the GM armor rule. Greg walks around in his arty armor all the time. If I know we are going to be doing some RP stuff, I'll change. Simple as that.

    OLYMPUS

Once a Guardian, always a Guardian. I have enjoyed popping in and out of the realm in recent years. Recent events have drawn me back to my old home once again. Upon this return, I was overly delighted and proud of the efforts the Empire has made. Senator Katherine Elle was kind enough to give me a tour of what has been accomplished in the Olympus area. To say, the feat is commendable to say the least! I was so moved by this endeavor that I moved my own residence into the area. I encourage any ancients that may be about to view this wondrous accomplishment. Also, Borg, if you can please contact current leadership, I know there are pressing matters they wish to discuss with you. I have charted the area, any additions please let me know.
  13. Has it really been that long? Egads I'm getting old. Was certainly lots of fun! E.G. Meridius Emeritus
