"A Pirates Proposal"

The Story - Long ago Lord British Decreed in Catskills that The Purple Guardians of honor would be commended for their efforts and officially named the Defenders of Trinsic. Since the origin of time The Guardians have stepped forward as a benevolent force quelling evil from not only Trinsic, but much of our realm.

As Lord Casca came into power it was said in one of his speeches that anyone who did not bow to his authority would be deemed an outlaw to these lands. And so the Purple Guardians of honor humbly withdrew from Britain to only find Casca's tax collectors poking around their homes in Trinsic.

The Purple Guardians vow to protect their beliefs was stronger then their faith in this false King and so faced with two options, surrender, or fight.

With time running out The Guardians have only a short amount of time before the armies of a false king fall upon the resistance at Trinsic.

The Plot - The Guardians have begun to start up their war machine to protect Trinsic from Casca. Templar Centurion Kang has received orders from his church to withdraw until the crisis is at an end. However his choice became clear that his honor is his life, and that no true god would rob him of his honor.

A crazed sun elf name Kaochin has beseeched the guardians of honor to conduct a small business proposal. With her intent unclear and options running out it is up to emperor Thom to make a decision that will effect all of the guardians.

Shall we go to war, or wait for war to come to us?

*Kaochin the Wise sleeps soundly in the hay of the Galehaven stable. An open letter is plastered in her hands, when suddenly she stirs and sucks her thumb leaving the letter to gently fall to the floor.... And It Reads*

"A Pirates Proposal" -The Letter

It has been in The Red Fangs best interest to support the defense of the Resistance. Long ago the Hawkings family was banished from the kingdom by Lord Blackthorn himself, and forced into hiding among strange people in distant lands.

The reasons of their banishment was unclear, however Gregory Hawkings returned branded their entire family in league with pirates, outlaws, and terrorists.

It is in The Hawkings family best interest that a royal pardon be placed over the diminished family.

The Red Fang offers The Guardians an abundance of iron, for the forging of weapons, and a plan that will help secure Trinsic from impeding threats.

After a failed attempted to smuggle weapons into Trinsic it became quite clear that conventional warfare was no longer an option.

The Fang asks that The Guardians and all those seeking to help the resistance take the iron freely given to forge new weapons to replace the last "Bulk Order".

-Weapon Bulk Orders, Each none crafter/player is given ten sets of "Normal" weaponry BOD orders, or 100 weapons. Each Crafter/Player is given 5 Sets of 50 Exceptional Weapon Orders.

The first to complete this quest will be awarded, and anyone who completes this under 30 minutes will be granted a boon. This quest must be finished before the day is over. Any production taking longer then 24 hours may be noticed by the Royal Guard. (Time 30min - End of Day)

---

The Red Fang has already failed to smuggle in a shipment of weapons, and so a new diversionary tactic must be attempted. The Fang asks for a staggering amount of fish. A total of 200,000 to be exact. These fish will be used to feed the militia, and to donate to Britain as part of a fish day festival in honor of King Casca to avoid suspicion.

- Players will have three days to collect fish. Every 100 fish donated earns a merit point. The player that donates the Largest "Big Fish" earns 25 merit points. The player with the most points will claim the prize for this event. Players who earn 100 points will be given a participation award. (10,000 fish!) (Time 3 Days)

---

Finally to ensure the support and success of the resistance the citizens of Trinsic will be asked to perform a small task. Mail "Bags" will be placed at various residents. Each bag will have a list if items needed. The first person to claim all the items on their list will be rewarded. For every list a player completes that list will yield a specific reward ranging in value.

The people of Trinsic do not wish to be kept up all night and thus this event will only last until 9:00 EST. at that time every participant is asked to return to our initial starting point.

Until the Hawkings name has its honor restored; The Red Fang will find no rest among you the people, even if the resistance is successful.

-Commander Kate Hawkings, RFP

how about see if there can get the 800k in points using fish at the library but only using the fish no gold is aloud to be used

Glad someone brought this up. I had to go look and realized that, on normal shards the talisman cost 550k in points!

So a little over 9 piles of 60k and 1, 10k pile of fish!! For just one talisman, normally gathering + donating this many points would cost one player 1,650,000gp and over 200+ dedicated hours

Completing this monumental task is the focus of this event. I wont say it is impossible but it will require momentum!!

Here is the list of rewards

Maritime Reading glasses - night sight, 150 luck, 20 reflect physical - Resistance = 3p, 4f, 30c, 5p, 3e. - 800,000pts

The following are 550,000pts...

Traveling Minstrel Talisman = +5 provocation, +5 musicship

Primer on Arms = +1str, +2 hp regen, +20% damage increase

Treatise on Alchemy = +5 magery, +15% enhance potions

Birds of Britannia = +5 taming, +5 animal lore, bird slayer (non-spells/pets)

Grammar of Orcish = +5 resist spells, +7 anatomy, Summons Orc Brute familiar

Talking To Wisps = +3 spirit speak, +5 evaluate intelligence

My book = Int +5, Mana +2

Not the greatest rewards for over 200+ hours of someones time I'm afraid.

However that is the beauty of working together to achieve a common goal. If we strive together we will share in rewards greater then any items, it is the memories we can create and the fun we can have together doing these events.

I ask only that none give up for that is the one and only true failure.

This being said the point system is still standing

100 fish will convert to = 1 point

10,000 fish or 100 points will be needed to claim any prize

The person who turns in the biggest "Big fish will get a 50 point bonus. Every big fish can be turned in for 1 point per 10 stones.

The persons with the most points will take a grand prize of, no less then one talisman of their choice.

If we are successful and have a large over flow of resources collected expect better prizes and more events of this nature.

(None of these rules are final until I move to put this event in motion in the announcement thread)

>> Continuation of our story

Kaochin the Wise after briefing the Emperor with her "Bosses" Plan and gaining the approval of Senator Elle to commence planning of the Great Fish Day Massacre.... Er the great Fish day Festival... Set out to secure the ore as promised by the Red Fang Pirates.

Little did the Guardians know at this time that this ore was being liberated from Britannia; a familiar cast of ingots with the Guardians seal from a previous Caravan months before. It now seemed that The Red Fang had planned this resistance for some time now, but only with recent events had it began to take form.

A red parrot named Gus finds his way to Centurion Kang, the first guardian in sight. Dropping a map at his feet with a secret location and time the ships would be kept before unloading at Galehaven.

On the back of this map read instructions that Kang read aloud, "Wait by thy signal to begin unloading. A work shop must be prepared to store these metals as they may soon be missed."

Kang tucked the map away and decided it best to inform someone of authority at his own convenience. However Kang had matters to attune for with Torm in Britain. And much time remained to get the map back to Olympus.

If we have a sea battle... A boat will be staged with Explosives outside that Kaochin arrives in... steal it and chase down any guardian Scouts that happen to over hear the alternative plans. The Scout will accidentally flee West and be forced into stealing a slow moving ship. After firing a signal flare the Guardians Naval force will begin to jump into affirmative action with their sites set dead on the Pirates Bay. Before you attack the scout the boat is trapped for 10 minuets on a coral. Every boat that enters must keep their planks unlocked and their decks clear of obstructions. We are using GM armor only and unlimited resurrections On Shore Only Only attack Enemy forces on screen near the Scouts warship If you successfully block the ship up before it becomes free from the corral reef you may claim the ship as a prize but the scout must walk the plank to their doom.

Also the Scout Ship will be using the slow forward feature and move along the shore line and will emote something like *The Ship Has Snagged Some Corral Reefs*

If the scout makes it to the Olympus Shores the guardians claim victory.

Day 2 - Kang (PGoH) will be meeting the craftsmen and fishers in Zento to explain the *Fish Day Festival* posters that will be found. He will mention looking for BoD orders that went messing and the rest of the evening is a bit of a surprise. Once you locate the BoD weapon orders and complete them by crafting or buying the needed weapons you will be given a rune to the next meeting location the next day (Time limit 1 Hour, IF you loose track of time please meet us later that day at Trinsic Docks 9:00PM EST or give your BoD orders to a member of PGoH in a bag with a book that has your character name)

Meeting at Galehaven fishers and aventures alike will find our Bay has been placed in a slight blockade. These ships will protect our fishermen from drifting too far off course. The entire bay will have a bit of activity as a cruse ship will be circling the bay dropping fishing nets. The pirates and anyone willing to help are invited to protect the fleets or try your luck fishing, but 60 skill is needed to fish in deep waters. The collection will be open after 1 hour or until we drop the last of the nets.

Also more bods will be found hidden in Trinsic (pray that we don't have an invasion or it may get very interesting!)

Day 3 - The hidden event is open to anyone who finish at least one of the BoD scavenger hunts. You will be given a rune to the secret meeting location where we shall wait for 15 minutes before heading to the final destination. Expect more fishing! (as if you haunt had enough already)

The concussion to the event will be the weigh in (every 100 fish is 1 point, big fish = 1 point per 10 pounds, biggest fish wins you 25 points, 1 point for every 25 blue scales. Earn 100 points to get a prize, the person with the most points will claim a grand prize followed by a 2nd and 3rd place) If perfectly fine to buy fish and turn them in they cost 3gp each, however its not about winning anything. We are just doing it for the sake of fun and to see how much we can accomplish, our goal is an insane 800,000 fish level. This Event Or Collection Is not over until we reach our goal for the Grand Prize Will be 800,000 library points in addiction to other blessings after the event is over please allow two or three days for the fish to be tallied if you happen to win.

For the concussion we will meet back at The Pirates beach head and listen to a story by the former Bards Night Champion Herself Kate Hawkings, (This could/may lead into an entire Bards Night event if possible) Lucky Kate is no longer eligible for Bards Night as she is too freaking amazing and was banned from competition.

(These Dates Are Not in Stone but After Approval Will be)

>>> The Conclusion to "A Pirates Proposal"

After Kaochin the Wise had explained her bosses delicate yet strangely amazing plans! She set off in search of Hawkeye and the United Pirates to possible help secure the second part of the plain that detailed Kaochin not utter a word of it to any of the guardians especially the "orange sassy one"

And so with a swig of citer, Kao boarded one of the distant Warships and departed for the pirates bay. Her plan was simple, she would explain the ordeal with Casca and the resistance. But what the guardians didnt know, was that the pirates where already part of a resistance of a sort, for they always tended to "resist arrest"

A smile curled over Kaochins lip, she knew fellow pirates had no choice. Rather they couldn't resist, but to line their pockets when opportunity stuck. And this was a great chance to take over Trinsic. The citizens respected the Guardians and with the invasions of late had lost their trust in them. Arming the citizens was only the first step. Framing the guardians for massacre of innocent people in the terms of friendly fire would be a challenge best left for another time.

The wheels had been set in motion, what seemed like a harmless festival may some day lead one of the greatest military assaults on Britannia soil since the days on Minax.

  • 4 weeks later...

*Event Canceled*

The time had soon come, but little sign of resistance had surfaced by the efforts of a few pirates. The captain of the Maritime Guild had been assassinated as some reports stated. The ships where lost, the fishermen were missing. The collective in cove had disbanded.

A single fisher set out on a mission to steal.... er to catch all the fish in Trinsic Bay in hopes that the plan would not come to an end.
